My Place Hotel Review: Billings, Montana
There's so much to love about Big Sky Montana! And if you need a place to crash, this might be it.
Today, we’d like to offer up our My Place Hotel Billings review from our recent stay at this property. We chose this hotel because of our first experience with this brand in Watertown, South Dakota.
Because we were traveling across Montana to visit Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park, we needed a hotel that could meet three criteria:
It must have a kitchen so we can cook our meals.
It must be affordable because we’re on a budget.
It must be a good location for our travels.
My Place Hotels has offered us that.

My Place Hotels Website
We couldn’t agree more! Our stay at the hotel in Billings, Montana, was excellent. Here’s a breakdown of our thoughts.
The Location
Located just north of Interstate 90 and west of South Billings Blvd., this hotel offers easy access and plenty of nearby restaurant options. It’s a short drive to Cabelas or Sam’s Club if you need camping supplies or groceries. It’s also close to several parks if you want to get out and have some fun.
The Property
My Place Hotel Billings is a lovely, well-maintained property. The area was clean, quiet, and felt safe. Walking into the lobby, you will notice it’s bright and cheerful, and the staff is super friendly.
The amenities are standard for other hotel chains. Free parking, free high-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV with HDMI hookups, laundry facility, business center, complimentary coffee, and a “MyStore” with food and beverages are all offered.
Additionally, you can get an order of breakfast in advance and have it delivered to your room, which is not offered at many other hotel chains.
The Room
Walking into the Double Queen Bed room was refreshing. It was spotless and spacious for our needs.
Having a full-sized kitchen is something we always prefer, and MyPlace delivers! The plush beds and microfiber linens were extremely comfortable, which is above standard for hotels. And the WiFi worked great, which doesn’t always happen in some places we’ve visited.
The rest of the room's amenities were fine. This is not a luxury experience by any means, but then that’s not what we were looking for either. What mattered was that it met our expectations and was a quiet stay.
OH ... an added feature I like is the beer bottle opener installed on the cabinet. After losing so many openers, this made my life a lot easier for enjoying my delicious IPAs.
The Price
While we prefer to keep our nightly room rate at $80 or less, it’s not always possible. When you stay at hotels closer to national parks, you unfortunately have to pay more and deal with more tourists and fewer available rooms.
MyPlace Hotel Billings was around $119 per night when we stayed there, but rates can be higher depending on the season. They do offer military discounts and member rewards, though.
Final Thoughts
Despite the room rates that can fluctuate with tourist seasons, we found this to be a great value for the money. Cooking your own meals will save you on expenses, and the ability to get to the national parks from this location is a plus. We wouldn’t hesitate at all to stay here again from a property or room perspective.
That’s it for the My Place Hotel Billings review. We hope you found this useful. Safe travels.
