I love this soooo much!!!! Meeting random people is hands down, my favorite thing about traveling. Strangers you may never see again but they still made a significant impact in your life π What a wonderful story of a campground nobody has heard of!
Thank you, Kristi! I totally agree that meeting random people and hearing their stories is one of the best things about traveling. I probably spend way more time meeting folks and talking than I do working. Itβs all worth it!
Excellent article. This is not the only park like this. I'm just surprised it is not a 55+ community. You were lucky to find this. You never know, maybe that's part of the fun. We have decided to park our 5th wheel at a 55+ community in Arizona which feels very much like your article. We have purchased a 16β Scamp for short camping trips and the spring and fall trips back a forth. We're modifying it to our needs and excited to start using it. Again nice article.
I appreciate it, Jim! This was a 55+ community where 80% of the people are over 70 and 20% are between 55 and 70. It was a nice mixture for sure.
That's great to hear there are more places like this and I hope we find them, maybe even settle down in one someday -- or build my own. It sounds like you have a nice setup. Having a homebase and a mode to travel is the best of both worlds!!
